Boring Expenses
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Boring Expenses is built by Boring to respect your privacy by default. The short version: your data is yours, it stays on your devices and in your own private iCloud, and we don’t collect it.
What we collect
Nothing. Boring Expenses has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs that phone home. We operate no servers that receive your data, and we have no way to see the expenses, categories, or notes you enter.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored locally on your device. If you’re signed in to iCloud and have it enabled, Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) syncs that data across your own devices through your personal iCloud account. That sync is between you and Apple; it is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. We never receive a copy.
Exporting your data
You can export your data to a CSV file at any time. Exports are created on your device and shared only where you choose to send them.
Children’s privacy
Boring Expenses does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
